Emily Workman Luther is a Yoga Alliance certified RYT 200 and Grounded Kids yoga instructor working toward her RCYT 95 certification. Her training covers Vinyasa style yoga and some Kundalini methodology. She currently resides in Collingswood, New Jersey, where she raises her three children and facilitates children’s yoga sessions in multiple locations throughout the year.
Emily began her career teaching middle and high school English in New York and Nevada. She has a lifelong love of working with children and teens, having taught children’s courses in art, English, writing, and now yoga. She has developed a personal yoga practice for the past twenty years, and as a mother she realized the benefits it could bring to her children and others. Teaching children’s yoga is a natural progression linking her family life and her career as an educator.
Emily is also a part-time adjunct instructor of rhetoric and writing at Syracuse University. There she has taught a wide variety of students, traditional and non-traditional, face-to-face and online, for almost fifteen years. She is a writer, an artist, a gardener, and she loves singing, dancing, and both playing and hearing music. Emily feels the greatest peace can be found outdoors, where the spirits of all living things find communion with the earth, water, and sky.
